Things I Would Tell My 10-Year-Old Self

    June 3, 2015 /

Today is my oldest’s birthday. I can’t believe I have a child who is officially in the double-digit range. My mini-me is now a 10-year-old. Here are 10 things that I know now, and I hope my daughter will know. It’s not what you have in your life, but who you have in your life that counts. You are responsible for what you do, no matter how you feel. There are people who love you dearly, but just don’t know how to show it. True friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. No matter how good a friend someone is, they are going to hurt you every once in a while,…

    Dreaming About San Giorgio Mykonos

    June 2, 2015 /

My jaw hit the floor when I stumbled upon the San Giorgio first at TBEX in Greece, and I haven’t been able to wake up from this dream! I’m starting a savings account just for this place because if I don’t stay there at some point, I’ll have serious life regrets. What a stunning combination of modern and bohemian, filled with textures and simplicity. San Giorgio is a place where I feel like my mind could escape, and I could exhale – a paradise found in Mykonos. There some heavenly place on this earth, and this is one of them. Definitely take a minute to scroll through the rest of the photos. It’s absolutely…

One Day #WithoutShoes Can Change a Child’s Life

    May 20, 2015 /

Tomorrow, May 21st, TOMS – the company known for starting a global movement through its One for One® business model – will kick off their shoes for its eighth annual One Day Without Shoes campaign to raise awareness for children’s health and education. It is no secret, I have loved TOMS since Blake Mysockie introduced the bright red slip on. From the charity:water slip ons to their comfy and posh wedges, what is not to love about wearing shoes that pay it forward to kids around the world?!One Day Without Shoes is the initiative each year that TOMS raises awareness of the impact a pair of shoes can have on a child’s…

My Son, Chivalry is Not Dead!

    May 11, 2015 /

To my son, I believe one of things that I am suppose to do for you as your mother is to train you how to treat ladies and eventually your wife. Don’t get confused by others who say you should treat a lady just like another guy. No, honey. Please remember that most women still want to be treated with class and dignity. First and foremost, open the door for a lady…and for anyone regardless of the sex or age. Even though she may insist that you don’t need to, open the car door for your lady. It will set you apart from others. Next, walk on the outside of a sidewalk, so your lady…

    Only A Mother’s Love

    May 10, 2015 /

“When you are a mother, you are never really alone in your thoughts. A mother always has to think twice, once for herself and once for her child.” Sophia Loren As much as we love traveling and being out in the world, we also cherish our cozy, loving & simple home life. My boy is rarely ever ready for school on time because he is playing around the house and just hanging. Mornings are the best. It is so hard to break our rhythm and go about the rest of the day. We wake up, and we go out on the terrace, I enjoying my coffee while the kids eat a little…
