LAFCO Raises the Bar

I recently found myself in LAFCO New York, where at first I was drawn in for their new home diffusers, but later I discovered their new line of luxury soaps. LAFCO Owner Jon Bresler made it a mission for me to try these soaps. To be honest, I was skeptical. When I think of soap, I think of dry skin and a cracked bar. I really can’t remember when the last time I used a bar of soap. But, that all changed.

It was a wonderous sight (how often do you see proper soap nowadays?) as the soaps were beautifully displayed on hand-painted dishes with one side of the soap displaying LAFCO New York and the other its scent. I must add that the dish is available to buy too, and they were all done by Bresler himself.  But, let me get back to the soaps. Bresler insisted that I wash my hands with the soap. Sturdy, honest, economical and, I’ve discovered, not nearly as drying as soaps were back in the day.

This new-generation soap is “triple milled”, creating a harder, longer-lasting bar with denser suds (no more wilting, soggy dregs in the soap dish). The custom blended, 100% vegetable base (almond, coconut and 15% olive oil) is LAFCO’s own and creates an ultra hydrating lather in place of animal fats and petrochemicals, for a more luxurious, moisturizing clean. What makes LAFCO stand outside the rest is its use of Almond Oil, which soothes eczema and is rich in fatty acids and vitamins A,B,D and E, as well as rice proteins, which promote skin restoration.

The soap are available in Dallas and New York LAFCO stores and also online at www.lafco.com in two sizes, 4.5oz hand soap bars and 8.5oz bath bars.
