Flashdance Splashes onto the Stage

Do you remember the dance scene that inspired you to go after their dreams? I know I do. The film that made Jennifer Beals a household name celebrates its 30th Anniversary with a full on Broadway spectacular! Today, Flashdance The Musical makes its way to the Dallas Summer Musicals stage at the Music Hall at Fair Park, June 25 – July 7, and I am so honored to be invited with my girlfriends by the DSM to experience the movie on stage.
Flashdance tells the inspiring and unforgettable story of Alex Owens, a Pittsburgh steel mill welder by day and a club dancer by night with dreams of one day becoming a professional performer. When romance with her steel mill boss threatens to complicate her ambitions, Alex learns the meaning of love and its power to fuel the pursuit of her dream. If you want to have the whole theatre experience, consider making reservations at Dining at the Music Hall, where they serves a themed buffet before each performance. Reservations are highly recommended here. I look forward to trying this dining options tonight. By the way, they offer kosher meals too, when you order in advance. These meals will be prepared kosher off site, sealed and delivered to our guests on the day of their visit. What a feeling!
