    As news of Lamar Odom has been traded to The Dallas Mavericks, so comes another reality TV star, Khloe Kardasian. It makes me wonder how will they portray Dallas? What I love about Dallas is its amazing fashion selection, friendly people and its beauty and culture as a city! If you’re not from Dallas, you probably imagine “Big D” residents riding to work on horses, all women have BIG hair and all men wear 10-gallon hat with a LARGE belt buckle.     Ways to Meet New People

    No one said making friends was easy, but the first step in meeting people is getting out there. Go to meetings, church and other sorts of gatherings. You’d be surprise how many people are like you – feeling self conscience and awkward, but once you strike up a conversation, you will find that you have some other things in common. Next, attend a dinner party, bible study or other small group activity. This allows you to engage in conversation in a more intimate setting usually with people who have similar interests and knowledge.  Unfortunately, these types of gatherings can be hard to find.     NOT Waiting on the World

    As I was sitting at a red light, John Mayer’s Waiting on the World to Change came on the radio. It began to make me think. What motivates us to change things and why should we wait? My conclusion is passion or “zeal.” Zeal is described by Webster’s Dictionary as an, “eagerness and ardent interest in pursuit of something.” Motivation is an interesting and often unstable human drive. It requires setting realistic goals and dealing with setbacks and sidetracks. Once the initial thrill of a decision is over, it is not so easy to make the effort to keep going.
