Stories of My Life: Taking Your First Steps
This is the third post of my STORIES OF MY LIFE series. Your baby’s first steps are one of the moments that you’ll always cherish. It symbolizes how he’s not a little baby anymore – he’s now a toddler! How do you celebrate their first steps? Here’s how we captured this special milestone in our family.RECORD IT!
The most obvious way to record and celebrate your baby’s first steps is in video. Thanks to YesVideo, my family has the ability to watch my son’s first steps on DVD, on my tablet and on my computer. I can share with my family and friends via email and ALL my social networks with YesVideo! I love how my husband captured this video with ALL the family celebrating! Watch below and notice a young sister who plays a part in documenting her baby brother’s milestone. 😉
JOURNAL IT!
On the day your baby takes his first steps, you’ll be beaming with pride and overflowing with emotions. Write down all your feelings in a special journal. Journaling is a great way to cherish all your baby’s milestones and achievements. You’ll enjoy looking back on the journal for years to come.
CAPTURE IT!
A cool way to capture your baby’s first steps is with their footprints in paint or in sand. Write a poem to your child about this day, or maybe how you “Hope They Dance” through life. Frame it. Laminate it. One day when your child is older, take them out on a “date” and share this moment with them.
