Seattle’s Best Coffee Drips into North Texas
Seattle’s Best Coffee (SBC) began life in the early 1970s as the aromatic brew offered up from a 12-pound roaster housed at the Wet Whisker on Seattle’s Pier 70. It was named “Seattle’s Best Coffee” in the 1990s after winning a local contest. My family has been a faithful SBC drinking family (I’m a #5 and my husband is #3 decaf), so when I was invited to check out their newest venture for a media tasting, I jumped in my car and headed over to one of the 10 drive-through locations opened in Dallas/Fort Worth area.
“Dallas is an on-the-go, value-conscious market, and we think Seattle’s Best is the perfect option for commuters,” said a representative for Seattle’s Best Coffee.
These Seattle’s Best Coffee drive-throughs offer food and drink combos for under $5! The menu is designed to be simple and portray a good value with 12 meal-and-drink combinations. One of the things that makes me happy is hearing that SBC will always have brewed their #2 Original, #4 what they called their Dark and #3 Decaf ALL-DAY. This has always been a frustration of mine with Starbucks, as they stop brewing after decaf and dark brews after noon. Grab a Sausage, Egg & Cheese Biscuit Breakfast Sandwich to go with the coffee or the Turkey & Provolone Pretzel Melt Sandwich also served all-day.
They have some signature dessert drinks that are a HUGE hit with kids and adults. I throughly enjoyed the Iced Caramel Pretzel Mocha and the Frozen Birthday Cake Latte. Next time, I drive through, I will be trying the Iced Mint Chocolate Chip Mocha made with 2% chocolate milk. 🙂
OPENING SPECIAL: The North Texas launch will begin with an offer of FREE coffee (iced or hot), through May 26, 2013, then serve up a limited-time offer of a combo for $2.99. For more pictures from Seattle’s Best Coffee, check out my Google+ album here.

This is the best news I’ve heard all day! Don’t know how I missed it, but there’s a location not too far from me. Mine might not be the most exciting drink order, but I’ll go with my standard #4 brew, with a dash of cream and sugar. A hot latte would be my next choice. So glad this brand has made it to Dallas!

I tend to prefer White Mochas, but I have started branching out more lately.
