Roots Juices Builds a Foundation for Your Diet

It seems that the currently celeb fad is the word “cleanse.” On Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, people share their experience of their 3 to 5 day juice cleanse, usually complaining and counting the days to return back to the food they love.

I was turned onto juicing after my brother got diagnosed with lymphoma. He mentioned he might possible try The Gerson Therapy. This therapy is a natural treatment that activates the body’s extraordinary ability to heal itself through an organic, vegetarian diet, raw juices. Juices provide nutrients at top speed. Your body has time to heal itself rather that having to work at digestion. Juicing should not only be used for a few days and then put away, but by doing this daily, you provide your body with a high dose of naturally-derived nutrients that boosts your health, support your body’s natural cleansing processes, and helps keep you well-protected against toxins and disease. A fresh juice stands in a league of its own.  It is simply the best energy drink on the market! Take that, Red Bull.

Fortunately, there are juice bars popping up. I had the pleasure of trying Roots Juices, which prides its self for making juices daily on their Norwalk Juice Press (the highest-end juicers) and deliver it to you (for FREE for me with orders $30 or more since I live within their delivery zip code.) I tried every juice ($7/each) with my family because like I stated earlier. Juicing is not just a drink, but it’s a way of life. Our favorites were Wake Up (It’s the highly recommend carrot/apple juice by Gerson.), Go Green (It’s the foundation for healthy juicing lifestyle vai Gerson.), Watermelon Cooler (Freeze this in ice cube trays, and it makes a great treat for the whole family.) and Health Nut Almond Milk (It’s great in your coffee or a night cap.).

If you had to choose one that you should drink daily, I would say Go Green, especially at around 3 p.m. when our body’s clock begins to tire. The chlorophyll gives your blood the much needed punch to get your blood to flow for the rest of the day…well, at least until dinner 😉

Drink at 3 in the afternoon, I thought juice needs to be first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, otherwise you’re not getting the full benefit.

It really doesn’t matter when you drink the juice as much as how your prepare the juice. Some juicers do not capture all the fruit and vegetables while others like the Norwalk grab all the nutrients. Your body will benefit when ever you drink it.
