Pineapple Upside Down Cake
Ingredients
- 1 20 can pineapple slices – reserve juice
- 1 c brown sugar
- 10 maraschino cherries
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 stick butter
Place 1 layer of pineapple rings on the bottom of an 8×10 baking dish. Place 1 cherry inside each ring. Reserve the pineapple juice.
In a microwave safe bowl, melt 1 stick of butter. Stir in brown sugar. Mix well and pour over pineapples.
Prepare cake according to directions, except substitute juice for the water in the directions.
Bake according to directions on cake box. After baking and cooling, flip cake out onto a foil board.
