National Teacher Appreciation Week Ideas
National Teacher Appreciation Week is next week, May 5-9, 2014. This is the time of the year when parents and students spread the love to our teachers. Teachers play a key role in student success, and sometimes a simple “thanks” is all a teacher needs to feel valued. Here are some ideas on how you can honor your teachers:
Our Teachers Helps Our Kids Bloom!
Students bring a single flower for your teacher, and the class makes a bouquet the teacher can enjoy all week.
Our Teachers are Sweet!
Students bring a small candy bar or sweet treat for your teacher on this day.
Our Teachers Deserve a Breakfast!
Parents provide breakfast for teachers this morning, and you may considering the supportive staff at your school.
Our Teachers are Noteworthy!
Students bring a card or note. Homemade cards are great.
Our Teachers Demonstrate the Fruit of the Spirit!
Students bring a piece of fruit for your teacher.
Here’s the scoop: Our Teachers are Cool!
Students will enjoy an ice cream social in honor of their teacher.
How will you be honoring your kids’ teachers? Please add to this list. Here’s a great interview from the past, and I hope it helps your family bless the teachers in your life.

Maybe I should take something to Emily’s teachers on Sunday mornings! I was thinking she doesn’t really have teachers, but she totally does and they love her very much 🙂

You should, Jana! It was National Volunteer Week last week, so they definitely fit in one of these two if not both categories. 🙂
