Ford’s F-Series has been the best-selling truck for 37 years and the best-selling vehicle for 32 years. Ford has been the best-selling brand in North America for four consecutive years. The 2015 Ford F-150 will deliver an impressive combination of stronger and lighter, with an all-new high-strength steel frame and a military-grade aluminum-alloy body.

But, Ford wasn’t just making a grand entrance in Texas. At CES technology trade-show in Nevada, Ford unveiled a few new ideas including a solar-powered concept car, car-to-car communication and usability improvements for their Sync infotainment system.

C-Max Solar Energi runs on a combination of gas and electric power, with a range of 620 miles. According to Ford, 21 of those miles can be completely electric. Ford C-MAX Solar Energi concept shines a new light on electric transportation and renewable energy. Now, I am curious to see what the consumer thinks and smoothly it drives.C-MAXSolarEnergiFord also showed off their Mustang with assistance, forward collision warning and performance boost to help with acceleration. The Mustang will also be Ford’s first production model in North America to feature an enhanced new version of Ford’s SYNC AppLink, which lets drivers and passengers talk to the car to control popular iPhone and Android apps such as NPR and Spotify. Once the Mustang rolls out, Ford will make the new version of AppLink available to owners of Ford models going back to 2010.01072014_CES_insetDid you know that 6 years ago at CES that Ford with Microsoft introduced Sync infotainment system? Despite taking some much deserved criticism for its glitches, Sync is improving and becoming a safer option for drivers than fumbling with a phone in traffic. The next generation of Sync is supposed to make it easier for drivers to access apps with simpler menus and enhanced voice control, delivering a seamless app experience.

With all these changes moving Ford further in the car industry, the real question is, “Have you driven a Ford lately?” 😉
