2012 Found Inner & Outer Beauty
This year I met a lot of beautiful people in the skincare, makeup and hair industry. I also dove into learning more about what was in the products that I put on myself. Just like food, many cosmetic companies are putting harmful ingredients into their products, but there also a lot of great technological ingredients to help slow down the aging process. 🙂
Earlier this year, I was honored to meet Kate of Kate Somerville. She brought DermalQuench Liquid Lift (youth in a bottle) to the Neiman Marcus & Nordstrom! 2012 was blown away with hair bars, braids and pony tails! From sleek blowout to long fishtails, women were flocking to the salons to have their hair pampered. Thanks to Pinterest, nails became art this year. Pretty polishes and mini masterpieces were seen on ladies hands and feet that showed their spirited side or their glittery vibe.
Beautiful things happen when you can actually pronounce the ingredients you’re putting on your skin. Santa Maria Novella was the best natural products that I found in 2012 for my body. SMN Cosmetic Oil is derived from the chamomile plant, and it produces a calming, anti-irritant effect on the skin.
Finally, we went crazy for juice! Juice bars like The GEM and Number One/Le Jus popped up everywhere from LA to Dallas to NYC. We realized that if we wanted to look beautiful outside, we had to take care of our insides. Juicing will be pressed into 2013 and beyond. Well that is, at least for me as I resolved to juice more this upcoming year. 🙂
