2013 GMC Yukon Denali XL Connects with Dallas Community
There’s no better way for someone to get to know a car than to drive it for themselves. It’s even better when you can then pass the keys along to someone else, so they can experience it too. Let me introduce you to the GM Connect program. If you know someone in your community with a network of people curious to try out a new car for the week, recommend them to “Drive the District.”
I was recommend by Paige Flink, the executive director of The Family Place. I first met Paige at a celebration party for their annual fundraiser called Partners Card. It is truly one of my favorite 10-days of the year, where I pay $70 for a card that entitles me to a 20% discount at over 750 participating retailers for a ten-day period. My family saves up for this. We sell these cards to our friends and family. Why? Because 100% of the proceeds goes to The Family Place. Yes, 100%! The Family Place provides free, comprehensive services that prevent violence and fully support women, children and men on their path from fear to safety. I love this organization so much that I have become a member of The Family Place Partners. Consider joining a group of dynamic women with the mission of eliminating family violence.
To pay it forward, my family enjoyed 2013 GMC Yukon Denali XL and loaded it up with school supplies and backpacks. The Denali has ample amount of space for us to ride with the air-conditioning reaching to all the row seats. I rewarded the kids with Phineas and Ferb’s Perry Files viewing party in the vehicle. I have to say, it was hard to get them out after the shows were done. 😉 Fortunately, I was able to listen to SiriusXM without interrupting their shows. I should also note that this Denali was assembled in Arlington, Texas. For those of you who like to “Buy Local!,” you should consider this vehicle, as it is “made in the USA.”

I thought I was going to learn more about the Denali, but instead I learned more about a very important program. I was unfamiliar with the Family Place and the GM Connect program. By the way, I love that the Denali is made in Arlington!

I am sneaky like that. 😉 I thought it was cool that it was made local.
