Embrace Your Self Through Music

I am fortunate in the time that I have been blogging to meet great people. Most, if not all these people, are smarter, wittier and make me a better writer and person. One of these people is Simon Salt, who I met at Social Media Club event a few years ago. He has been a great resource for me in understanding the digital world and photography. He is not one to “hoard” his knowledge, but he is generous and wants people to meet their creative potential.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure seeing Simon present at Blissdom. As soon as his presentation started, he got my creative juices flowing. He walked on the stage with “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC. He explained that the song helps him get pumped to speak, to feel great and be creative. He even created a pinboard called “Stage Fright.” This made me wonder what was my song. You know the song that would get me out of bed, be playing as I get ready for a night out or listen before I had a very important meeting. Here’s one that I gets me fired up.

So tell me, what would yours be and why? Sing it out!

Awww I’m so glad that song got your creative juices going. I have a whole bunch of them – I’ve even created a Pinterest board with some of them on called “Stage Fright” – it also has motivational quotes that get me pumped up before a presentation.
    Love your song!

Sweet Disposition by the Temper Trap gets me going in the day. For some reason it gets me in the mood to start my day, start working and get positive vibes throughout the day. Thanks for sharing tidbits of Blissdom! I also find your photography tips the other day helpful!

Is it inappropriate to say an LMFAO song gets me pumped up? 🙂 Honestly, anything that could be considered a good song to RUN to is a great motivation to me. I need a strong beat to get me pumped up and ready to be productive. 🙂

That is SUCH a good question. Music in general gets me pumped, but honestly I am NOT a morning person so something rocking would be bad. To get me to speak on stage. Hmmmmm. Black Eyed Peas does a good job of that.

My son’s baseball team totally did better when they’d practice to music! It totally blocked out their fears and focused them on their skills with some fun too!

Mine would also be AC/DC You shook me all night long! Or Getting Jiggy with It! LOL
