2012 Chevy Traversed to the Posh Side

Confession: I love cars. Actually, I get giddy test driving them, so when Britain Chevrolet approached me to try out one of their vehicles. My curiosity piqued. There is one thing you have to know about me. I will NEVER, yes NEVER, drive a mini-van. Daniel at Britain Chevy had bigger plans – their 8-passenger crossover 2012 Chevrolet Diamond Traverse.

The 2012 Chevrolet Traverse is an impressive vehicle. Yes, you heard me right. I was surprised how much I loved this ride. It was very refined and smooth. It soaked up bumps large and small, keeping highway chatter from upsetting the cabin. I averaged 19 mpg on gas mileage.

Cargo room distinguishes the Traverse, enough for a large cooler behind the third row. Fold all the seats, and the Traverse has tons of space like a truck but protection from the outdoors. The first and second rows have decent space, and the three-seat second-row bench reclines and slides forward and backward. Adults in the third row may need passengers in the second row to move it forward a few clicks to create sufficient legroom.

Thanks to top scores in all crash tests, the Traverse is a Top Safety Pick from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. It also earned an excellent, five-star rating in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s challenging side pole test. Standard safety features include three-row curtain airbags and an electronic stability system.

The Diamond Traverse had power accessories including driver seat and steel wheel. Features that I loved included steering-wheel audio controls and Sirius XM radio. Can you guess which station I enjoyed?

I also have never used Bluetooth in a vehicle, but now I think that it is “a must” in ALL vehicles for the ease to communicate on the phone while driving. Finally, not a must but a luxury that I like in all of my cars is the heated and cooled front seats.

You, too, can test drive this vehicle or the Chevrolet Malibu and receive a $40 SpaFinder Gift Card! Click here for more information.

Disclosure: Britain Chevy gave me two weeks to test drive the 2012 Diamond Chevrolet Traverse. These are my opinions.
