Get to know Jennifer!
What do you like to cook or make in the kitchen?
Anything really. Well not fish. It makes the kitchen smell for days. I consider myself a cook and not a baker. I love the chemistry of blending spices and herbs in dishes, and the result being a flavorful plate.
What is your “comfort food” or type of restaurant that you most frequent?
Chips & salsa and pizza. I have no willpower when it comes to chips and salsa, add guacamole and I can get full on these three items before my dinner is served. Pizza is another comfort food. Fortunately here in Montenegro, they make it the way I like it – wood-fired, thing crust with fresh toppings. 🙂
What’s your favorite color?
Blue. Definitely navy blue. Well, maybe black. Yeah, it is hard to answer this question, but the darker the better.
What’s you “mom uniform” – typical outfit in the day?
You will often see my in a pair of skinny dark denim and a black top with a leather jacket in the cold days and flip flops during the warm ones.
What languages do you speak?
I can get by with a little Spanish. Now that my family moved to Montenegro, I learning Montenegrin, which is very similar to Serbian…and Bosnian…a distant cousin to Croatian. 😉
Do you prefer to hike up the mountains or relax on the beach?
Beach. The sounds of the ocean can put me into a trance and allow my busy, creative mind to finally rest.
What is your happiest family’s memory?
I love traveling with my family. These are where memories are made for me when I was a child and has followed me into adulthood. I think my happiest memory with my family is our annual trip to family camp. We all disconnect from tech and bond as a family. We have made some of our greatest friends at Pine Cove too. My kids look forward to a visit to Tyler, Texas more than one to Orlando, Florida. 😉
